Wrap-around extension and loft upgrade in London suburban home

This family home on a quiet London cul-de-sac was transformed through a double-storey wrap-around extension and loft conversion. The new space accommodates a larger kitchen, family lounge, and top-floor master suite.
A design challenge arose from the client’s desire for a north-facing living room. After analysis and discussion, we repositioned the lounge eastward to benefit from morning light. The compromise improved the home’s energy profile and interior experience.
