Double-storey London home expansion for lifestyle and privacy

This extension project added a bedroom with ensuite and a larger garage. The design respects the existing home’s proportions and local planning limits.
Natural light was a priority. Wide glazing in the new bedroom creates a bright, airy feel. The ensuite includes built-in storage and a calm material palette. The garage below supports flexible storage and day-to-day use.
Circulation and escape routes were carefully reviewed for safety and approval. Externally, massing was kept compact, minimising shadowing onto neighbouring homes. Transparency in community engagement helped secure approvals.
This project reflects our approach: balance expansion with responsibility, both technically and socially.
