Victorian building conversion in Southwark into five modern flats

This Southwark architecture project converted a deteriorated Victorian building into five residential flats. Located in central London, the building required planning permission, fire safety upgrades, and sensitive handling of heritage details.
The design included a double-storey rear extension and new balconies to improve outdoor access for the upper units. Internally, layouts were reconfigured to support natural light, privacy, and insulation standards. Historic features such as fireplaces, staircases, and window profiles were preserved or restored.
Our project management included planning coordination, contractor selection, and client reporting. Once completed, the flats were successfully sold, demonstrating the viability of thoughtful architectural refurbishment for heritage properties in London.
