Rear extension in Bromley with pivot window and reading nook

In this Bromley renovation, a rear extension introduced a striking pivot window and side glazing that opened up the space to the garden. The layout was improved by adding a built-in reading corner and library wall, maximising both light and function.
The window allows seasonal connection to the outdoors and creates a calm central feature. Daylight now reaches deeper into the ground floor, supporting natural ventilation and comfort.
Materials were kept warm and soft to balance the bold architectural features. This project shows how a single extension can serve lifestyle, visual, and biophilic goals in a compact family home.
