Historic bathing returns in glazed bedroom and bath design

This interior concept merges bedroom and bathroom into a continuous, transparent environment. Inspired by historic European designs where bathing was central to daily life, this project reclaims that intimacy with modern clarity.
We created a glazed partition to separate but visually connect the freestanding bathtub and sleeping area. Natural materials—stone, brushed brass, and timber—reinforce the sense of calm and ritual. Daylight is maximised with high-level openings and careful layout planning.
The bathtub becomes the room’s focal point, positioned on a raised platform to give visual presence and function. Additional features include recessed lighting, soft textiles, and natural ventilation.
This project explores how everyday routines can shape interior space. The Bedroom Bath is not about luxury for its own sake, but about making room for care and rest.
