Bromley studio redesign for compact independent living with garden views
A garden studio in Bromley was converted into a compact living space for a young resident and his dog. Previously used as a guest house, the structure was upgraded to serve as a permanent small residence with flexible interior solutions.
The layout includes a retractable bed, integrated storage, a kitchenette, and work zone. During the day, the room functions as a workspace or lounge. Evenings allow for social use with fold-out seating and adaptive lighting.
Design priorities included pet-friendly flooring, multi-use furniture, and good access to the garden. This studio demonstrates how small spaces can support full-time living when designed with care
