Greenwich garage conversion into a bedroom with planning support

In the dense streets of Greenwich, this garage was converted into a functional bedroom while maintaining vehicle access and addressing planning considerations. With limited off-street parking available, careful negotiation with planning authorities was needed before work could begin.
The conversion retained the footprint of the garage, while improving insulation, lighting, and ventilation to meet housing standards. Natural light was introduced via a high-level window, and materials were selected to reflect the home's main structure.
Externally, the driveway was reworked to maintain car access. Internally, the room now functions as a guest bedroom or small office, depending on the homeowner’s needs. This project is an example of urban renovation supporting both private comfort and wider planning priorities.
