Wood House is a serene, fully timber-lined interior designed for a multidisciplinary artist. The concept focused on creating a luminous, quiet living and working environment with no doors. Materials include pale wood, micro cement, and iron, offering natural textures and continuity. A large library anchors the home both spatially and symbolically, supporting the owner’s literary and reflective practice.
Instead of traditional walls and doors, curtains and sliding panels allow each space to remain connected, enabling a fluid movement between activities. The bedroom, kitchen, studio, and reading areas are linked visually and atmospherically, with carefully placed lighting and soft fabric transitions.
The house functions both as a retreat and a creative workspace. Natural daylight, minimal artificial interventions, and a palette of neutral colours create a calming environment tailored for solitude and focused practice. All furnishings are built-in and integrate storage, making the space visually quiet and physically uncluttered.
