THE PROJECT

An office for a nautical company in Amalfi. The brief was a working environment: functional, professional, and appropriate to a business whose work is the sea and the coast it operates from.

The design took both as its starting point. The materiality of the Amalfi Coast, the quality of the light, and the visual language of a serious nautical operation were each brought into a scheme that reads as specific to this business and this place. Not a generic office fit-out with coastal references applied afterwards. A workspace that belongs where it is and says clearly what the company does.
