Plain Store: Commercial Interior Design, Naples

A retail space in Naples for a client with a clear position: he wanted his store to feel nothing like the shops around it. The area was busy, visually loud, and full of the usual retail vocabulary. He wanted the opposite.

The brief was minimalist, but minimalism in a noisy context is not absence. It is a deliberate choice that requires as much precision as a more decorative approach. Every element that remained had to be exactly right, because there was nothing else to carry the room.

The design stripped the space back and gave it clarity: clean lines, a restrained palette, and a layout that put the product and the customer at the centre without distraction. Different from everything around it, without making a point of being so.
